WebQuests- Cyberhunts- Scavenger Hunts
Teachers today everywhere have learned how to use the web well by adopting the WebQuest format to create inquiry-oriented lessons.
This site will provide you with information to create your own WebQuest, Cyberhunt, or Scavenger Hunt along with sites that have already been created so you can utilize them with your class.

WEBQUESTS "A WebQuest," according to Bernie Dodge, the originator of the WebQuest concept, "is an
inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web.  WebQuests are designed to used learners'time well, to focus on using information rather than on looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation."

SCAVENGER HUNTS A Scavenger Hunt is an inquiry-based activity which uses resources from the Internet (very similar to a WebQuest, but on a smaller scale).  There is a list of questions with direct category links which focus on a specific topic or content area. Students practice reading comprehension and Internet navigational skills while making student-computer time more efficient and effective.
