Travelin' on a Jet Stream

Jessica Jett's head swam with a confused mix of facts.  "The jet stream is a current of fast moving air in the upper atmosphere...air masses...temperature... !  The Great Lakes are in the Midwestern region of the United States...latitude-longitude..." !  She was so tired after a full day in school followed by soccer practice and piano lessons.  She sat on her bed surrounded by schoolbooks preparing for tests in science on weather and social studies on the Mid West.  Exhausted and unable to keep her eyes open, Jessica found herself caught up in a fast moving stream, which lifted her high above the clouds.  From this vantage point, Jessica could see the formation of weather patterns .  Let's join her as she floats on the jet stream discovering how it moves across our country bringing us our weather.  Along the way, we will stop off to visit key cities, one from each of the five different geographic regions of the United States.  So, come and be part of this great adventure.  Be sure to bring your parachute for a smooth descent.  The ride will be fun and the information discovered will be useful.  Just work quietly - we do not want to spoil Jessica's dream trip!
