Information Systems Facilitator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree, New Jersey Teaching Certification
- Knowledge of information processing, principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Apple and PC platforms
- Knowledge of the procedures and techniques involved in analyzing information technology
- Ability to establish goals and set priorities.
- Ability to schedule and organize work activities.
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to analysis, interpret, and articulate informative statistics.
- A commitment to the mission of the Bayonne Public Schools
- Classroom teaching experience
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for advising and assisting the Director of Technology in various Information/Instructional Technology operational areas, such as the strategic planning and policy formulation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards, practices, and procedures.
- Assist in establishment of work standards, schedules, and priorities for projects within assigned technology areas.
- Assist in direction and management of employees in application use and ensure that all employees are adequately trained to perform their specific duties.
- Monitor Student Information System data (attendance, registration, special education, portal, discipline, etc.).
- Export/format data from Student Information System into EXCEL reports
- Communicate and support administrators regarding department/school data.
- Communicate and support all support staff, Guidance Department and Student registration office.
- Maintain data for the NJSmart Portal and NJSmart data submissions.
- Manage REALTIME/Gradebook application.
- Provide staff training and support.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Director of Technology (or his/her designee) in accordance with provisions established by the Board of Education’s policy on Evaluation.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-Month Position SALARY: Teacher’s Salary Guide
