MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
The Student Personnel Services Department of the Bayonne Public School District provides a comprehensive counseling program for all students.
The elementary school counseling program is designed to be proactive. The program focuses on activities that will help students to work through academic, personal and social issues. Decision making problem solving, self-awareness, goal setting, career awareness and character education are among the topics discussed in classroom lessons.
The high school counseling program consists of individual, small group and large group sessions that focus on transition to high school, career awareness, post-secondary plans, character education and academic and personal issues.
Counselors are student advocates who provide a variety of services to all students with the ultimate goal that each child will lead a happy and productive life
