Welcome, teachers! Are you willing to join our adventure and travel with us? This web site was designed with 4th graders in mind, but it can be modified for use on other levels, too. Browse through our page, and hopefully, you will find some exciting and enriching activities to enhance your curriculum.
Our main objective is to discover and follow the summer and winter seasonal patterns of the jet stream across the continental U.S.A. using real time data. As we travel, we plan to stop at a key city in each of the five major regions to collect scientific profiles. While we are there, we have also included a visit to some points of interest to help us get a feel for the city.
You will find many opportunities to use the lessons provided. They are applicable to all content areas, and each one is infused with technology. The lessons are modular and can be used independently so that you can pick and choose what best suits your needs. The overall activities, which integrate Gardener’s Multiple Intelligences, were written for whole group presentations, teacher demonstratons, and/or small, cooperative group projects.So if you want to know what’s down belowAssessment
