Bayonne High School
Announces Art Show Awards at duCret School of Art
The
28th Annual duCret School of Art High School Student Art Show and
Juried Competition at the school in
Plainfield, NJ opened Friday evening February 23 at 7:30 PM with an award ceremony
for the art students whose work was chosen as outstanding in their media. As
stated by the school’s Director Mr. Frank Falotico, “It is impressive to note
that the 2007 show represents 490 students and 28 high schools from various
cities, towns, and regional districts in the State of New Jersey”. This juried
exhibition showcases art students selected by their respective art teachers for
their visual arts talents.
Bayonne
High School received recognition in the specialized areas of Fine art Photography,
Digital Photography, Computer Graphics, Fine Art Painting and Collage`. Only junior
and senior class students are eligible to be entered in this two dimensional
works art show. All accepted artwork was juried two weeks prior to the opening
and students were notified via mailings of their acceptance and if they placed in
their specific category of entry. One artwork per student is only permitted thus
narrowing the screening process and volume of work per school
Congratulations

and Randi Drogin HM Computer Imagery.
Also
Jenna Kildosher a student of Mrs. June Mohovich placed third with her cut paper
collage`. Finally from Mrs. Chris Poruczynski’s Studio Art AP Class senior
Kasey Balla received a First place with her oil painting diptych. The awards
evening Master of Ceremonies was duCret School’s director and faculty member
Mr. Frank Falotico. The event was attended by students, their parents and many
art teachers. All the aforementioned Bayonne High School Art
instructors were in attendance. Mrs. Poruczynski is Bayonne High School’s art
show coordinator
for the show.
