BHS ART STUDENTS WIN TOP AWARDS
At
NJCU HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT
New Jersey City University
held its First Annual High School Student Art Exhibit at the Gallery of the NJCU Visual
Arts Building
from January 14 – 18, 2008. Bayonne High School submitted 41 artworks to be
judged by a jury panel. 32 artworks were
accepted for the exhibit.
Robyn Drag, a Photography student of
Mr. Thomas Hart was awarded First
Place for his digital photograph titled “Return to
Oz”. James Yurko,
a Computer Graphics student of Mrs. Charlann Meluso was a warded
Second Place for his Digital Photograph
titled “Window Light”. Ariel Rada received a Third Place Award for his Digital
Photograph titled “Dentist”. Jared
Hart, a Photography student of Mr. Thomas Hart received an Honorable Mention
for his Black and White Photograph titled “A Shadow’s Shadow”.
The winning students were presented
with certificates and cash awards at the reception and awards ceremony at the
NJCU Galleryon Thursday, January 17, 2008.
